| NEW YORK and OSLO, Norway, June 5, 2008 - At the 20th Annual Laureates Medal Ceremony & Gala Awards, IDG's Computerworld magazine honored four TANDBERG customers—Deaf Link, Inc., Arizona Telemedicine Program, Umeå University Hospital, and Navajo Nation—as members of the Computerworld Honors Program Laureates Class of 2008. Established in 1988, the Computerworld Honors Program unites chairmen and CEOs of the world's foremost information technology companies to recognize the most outstanding user achievements in technology each year. The technology achievements honored by this program are preserved and protected in national archives and in over 350 universities, museums, and research institutions throughout the world. Arizona Telemedicine Program, a multidisciplinary, university-based program that provides web-based technologies for expanding and enhancing health care and distance-education to communities throughout Arizona, was honored in the category of Education and Academia. Arizona Telemedicine Program (ATP) was selected for its T-Health Institute, which serves to improve group dynamics in inter-professional teams through innovative uses of video conferencing. Umeå University Hospital, a hospital serving 255,000 people across northern Sweden's vast, geographically rugged Västerbotten County, was honored in the category of Healthcare. Umeå University Hospital was selected for its long-distance speech therapy, which enables the hospital to perform speech, language and voice therapy to patients across Västerbotten. Navajo Nation, the most populous Native American tribe in the U.S., was also honored in the category of Education and Academia. Navajo Nation was selected for its Skill2Succeed program, which through tech education, creates youth jobs on reservation land, making it more likely youth will stay and remain connected to their culture.
